Prof. A. Ramesh is an Institute Chair Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras). Renowned for his deep expertise and pioneering work, he has made significant contributions to the fields of thermal engineering, combustion analysis, and energy systems.
With decades of experience in automotive engineering and renewable energy research, Prof. Ramesh has played a vital role in advancing cleaner and more efficient technologies for internal combustion engines and hybrid electric vehicles. His research spans across alternative fuels, combustion diagnostics, thermodynamics, and emission control, addressing some of the most pressing challenges in sustainable mobility and energy utilization.
